We all need friends in our lives, most of us will have only a few trusted people that we call real friends. Those people who would do anything for you and who you would do anything for. True friends become part of our extended family, they can be the sister or brother you never had. Loosing a friend is just a traumatic as loosing a family member.
Funeral Poems for a Friend that honour their life and your friendship:
Best Friends By: Tsambika Angelidakis
I know you are in a better place
But I miss looking at your face
You were so young to die
Every night I sit and cry
Wondering why does it have to be this way
It hurts so much because there’s nothing I can do or say
That can make you come back to me
There is one thing that’s plain to see
That one day we will be together again
And now until then you will always remain my best friend
My Wish For You By: Debra Chesnoff
I wish I could give you many more years. I wish I could erase away all of your tears.
I want to take away all of your pain. I want to give you sunshine in the rain.
May each new day be a perfect gift. May love surround you, may your spirits lift.
If someone had to describe you so many words come to mind. Beauty and grace, a heart so kind.
You radiate warmth like a blazing fire. You are courage and wisdom. You truly inspire.
You attract like a magnet beautiful things. You sparkle and shine like a diamond ring.
You light up a room when you walk in. If someone feels sad you can make them grin.
You are elegant and charming. You know right from wrong. You are the melody from a beautiful love song.
You are a breath of fresh air on a hot summer’s night. When there is darkness you turn on the light.
I do not want these words to make you cry. I do not want to ever say goodbye.
I believe miracles really do come true. No one deserves one more than you.
Please know how many lives you touch. These words are my present. You are loved so much.
Time Is Meant To Heal By: Kim Thompson
Although unheard I thank you
For always being there
Even when you were bedridden
You always seemed to care
You meant so much to all of us
you were special and that’s no lie
you brightened up the darkest day
and even the greyest sky
Many tears I have seen and cried
They have all poured out like rain
I know that you are happy now
Cause your no longer in pain.
Four years on I remember you
And what you used to say
You made each of us smile
And live to the fullest each day
They say in time it gets easier
I believe this isn’t true
Because even after all this time
I still don’t have a clue
I was not ready to say goodbye
Your disease just over took
So on this day we remember you
I take a second look
Our friendship is forever
Until death, did we part
Although your away physically
You’re always in my heart
From Me By: Anna Williams
If you see a sunset, it’s me, smiling
From behind it.
If I go away far, and you see a star
If you find it,
I’m inside it.
You can fold it, and hold it forever,
If you hide it.
If our words and worlds sever — if ever
I lose you;
If two thousand light-years or seven
Remember me. Here and in Heaven
I’ll see you.
I’ll be beguiling my filing, still smiling
To see you.
When mountains, magenta and molded
Like you said,
You’ll find the feeling you folded
You’ll steal the swirling sky, turning
You won’t be bounded, but burning
