Ladies down the road

michele michelle“I was told it was not worth going to do my Diploma as it was a male orientated business passed down through the generations from father to son etc.  And even if I did, I would not get anywhere because I was a woman”.

That is what Michele Rutherford was told whilst working as a receptionist for a funeral home.

What did she do?

Michele Rutherford obviously used that negative statement to her advantage and completed her L.M.B.I.F.D. Dip.FD to become one of the first of the only two ladies down the road to obtain a qualification in the industry in the North East.    [Read more…]
